111 year old Sri Shivakumara Swamiji breaths his last in Siddaganga mutt on today

The ‘Kayakayogi’ of the Karnataka Sri Shivakkumara Swamiji of Siddaganga Mutt breathed his last in mutt at 11:44am. The seer health was deteriorated on Monday morning. He was having severe infection in lungs and was on ventilator from few days.

He shown good sign of recovery in last days but on monday the condition got worse. Swamiji was treated by many doctors. CM Kumaraswamy, Ex CM Yadiyurappa, Deputy CM G Parameshwar and many others gathered in mutt to get the updates from doctor on today.
He had undergone surgery for gall bladder on early this year in Chennai’s Rela Hospital. Since Jan 11, swamiji’s health was getting deteriorated due to lung’s infection.

3 days of state mourning has been announced in the state by Deputy chief minister G Parameshwara. Holiday declared in Karnataka tomorrow as part of the state mourning. Cremation will be done at 4:30pm on Tuesday, January 22.
Swamiji was well known for his contribution towards education and providing food and shelter for the students irrespective of cast and religion. He served a huge number of children by providing food, shelter and education and thus known as ‘TriVidha Dasohi’.

He was one of top 100 long lived super centenarian of the nation. Swamiji was honoured with famous Karnataka Ratna in 2007 and PadmaBhushan by Govt of India in 2015. In recognition of his humanitarian work, the Swami was conferred with an honorary degree of Doctor of Literature by Karnataka University in 1965 Ex President Dr. APJ Kalam during his tenure visited him and shown his tributes towards his deeds. Last week, CM Kumaraswamy demanded the highest civilian award, Bharat Ratna, for the seer as recognition of his service to the society.
